RESOURCES TO HELP YOU

Conquer Caseload Management

No one gets into speech therapy because
they love paperwork.

Between the IEP’s, Medicaid billing, lesson planning, data collection, and file organization it can sometimes feel like all we do is manage our caseload instead of actually doing the work we love.

Just keeping up with the daily paperwork can feel like a full-time job and if (when) you fall behind it feels like this enormous pressure is weighing you down all. the. time.

When my caseload doubled as a school-based SLP, I felt like I was drowning. Working before school, after school and on weekends wasn’t something I could do forever. I knew I had to find a better way or I would have to find a new career.

That struggle, along with a serious addiction to all things organization and systemization led me to develop strategies and hacks for managing my caseload while still being able to get in a game of tennis before work.

Am I doing this right? Am I good at my job? These are questions that I often asked myself--until I found a system. Now, I am much more confident in my skills and abilities! Click through to read more.

Language Sample Cheat Sheet

Language samples are pretty much the unicorn assessment! They address many of the weaknesses of norm-referenced testing, and they provide rich, in-depth information about a child’s use of language in real-world situations (Costanza-Smith, 2010; Hewitt, Hammer, Yont, & Tomblin, 2005).

Yet, they are so. incredibly. time-consuming!

Or are they?...

Click to download a time-saving tool that automatically calculates MLU and makes language samples a breeze!
