Oh, am I excited to share this with you! I’m an absolute planner addict, but I struggled to find a planner that “gets” SLPs. I created pages that will help us stay organized and manage our ever-growing workload. Check out the Ultimate SLP Planner on Teachers Pay Teachers–just updated for the 2017-2018 school year!

NOTE: The links below are Amazon Affiliate links for your convenience, but I may receive compensation if you click through and purchase one of the products. *

I created this planner because I needed a tool to keep everything in one place. I needed a planner that could help me manage my schedule, my speech therapy caseload, my professional development, and more–really all things related to my life as a school-based SLP. I bought some big, fancy planners (which I love), but they didn’t do much to help me manage my caseload.

Despite all of the many planners out there, there isn't an SLP planner that we find really helpful. That's why I made the Ultimate SLP Planner, which is not only custom-made for SLPs but is also customizable and jam-packed with all sorts of planning resources to keep you organized! Read more about it in this post!

The planner includes 126 pages to help you get (and stay!) organized, including…

A Year at a Glance Calendar (June 2016-November 2017)

Monthly Calendars (One- and two-page layouts)

Week at a Glance Planners (Four different options)

To Do Lists (Many different options)

Caseload Management Sheets (Student information, parent contact sheets, referral/screening logs, progress report logs, student birthdays)

Paperwork Management Sheets (e.g., IEP/evaluation checklists, paperwork logs)

Lesson Plan Organizers (e.g., year overview, therapy schedule, weekly schedule, weekly lesson plan templates, and more)

SLP Organization Tools (Professional development logs, additional hours worked, passwords, contacts)

Common Core Guides (K-2, more coming soon!)

Notes Pages

Additional Blank Templates

So. Much. Stuff. Take a peek here!

The download includes a mega 126-page PDF file.

But guess what? I also made you an editable PowerPoint document, which will allow you to fully customize your planner (including TONS of editable text fields). I also made a video tutorial to walk you through the editing process.

Downloaded! So how do I assemble this planner?

I printed out my planner (double-sided) and laminated the front and back pages. This will help with durability and I can write on the covers using my Sharpie markers. Perfect for quick “to do” lists!

This was definitely a splurge, but I also purchased my very own binding machine (affiliate links below). You know what’s cool about this binding machine, though?! It’s super simple to open and close the binding, so I can add/remove pages throughout the year.

You can also bring your planner to your local office supply/printing store, and you can get it bound for a few dollars.  Or an even simpler option is to buy a 3-ring binder!

  1. Thanks for creating this planner! I am going to give it try for this school year! What type of paper do you use to print your planner? Also can you edit the student information page to type in the information?

    • Hi Katie!
I use paper I bought from Costco. They also sell it on Amazon, but it looks like it’s a little pricier (http://amzn.to/2aBO6re). I like this kind because it’s a little thicker than most printer paper. Any printer paper would work though. I just laminate the front and back covers, so it’s a little more durable. You can also get the planner bound at an office store, and they often have the option to add clear plastic covers (instead of having to laminate the front and back pages).
You CAN edit the student information page! I embedded the entire planner in a PowerPoint file, so you can add your text on any page.
There are also some blank templates, so you can add your own text/tables. You can easily add/delete pages too!
      Hope that helps!

      • Thanks! I do love the office paper from Costco too! I will take a closer look at the student info page and see if I am missing a step!

        • Were you able to see the video tutorial included in the product? If you’re still having trouble, e-mail me at [email protected]. I’d be happy to help you figure it out!

  2. Hi Marisha! I was wondering what font you used for the headings in the planner? I want to create some custom pages, but I want the fonts to match the rest of the planner 🙂

  3. Hi! Loving my planner! However, I was trying to use some of the blank templates, but for some reason I can’t type on them. I tried different pages in the planner. Some I could type on (calendar), but some I couldn’t. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

    • Hi Lindsey,
I ‘m sorry it’s not working! There are a few things we can do…

If you purchased on TPT, do you have the latest version? If not, you can re-download here (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/My-Purchases).
If the template I made still isn’t working, you can also create your own text boxes and tables to add text wherever you want.
I know creating your own text boxes/tables isn’t ideal, so I’m also working on updating the planner to make it more compatible with different platforms. I thought I tested it all, but it seems like it still isn’t compatible on some systems!
I’m curious though, are you on a Mac or a PC?

Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] if you want to chat there. We can continue chatting here too!

  4. This planner looks great! I was wondering, if I purchase it, do I get free updates every year or will I have to repurchase every year?

    • Thanks, Brooke! 🙂

I can’t guarantee that I’ll update the planner every year, but you’ll be able to download any new versions that I do publish on TPT. (:

  5. So, I’m looking at your DIY options section.
If I don’t want to buy my own desktop binder, and I like the look of the Martha Stewart notebook, would I print everything at Staples using the paper that came with the MS notebook, since it’s hole punched to fit in her binder?

  6. This is exactly what I need! I’m back in the schools after 12 years in private practice and I’m struggling to keep all this information organized in one place. Brilliant.

  7. I have been using this planner and it has really worked well for me – especially since I work across several different sites in the schools as well as consult/ private practice. Are you going to be updating it and have a 2018-2019 version? Please say ‘Yes!’ if so, when do you think it might be available?

  8. I purchased this on teachers pay teachers, which font did you use for your newer version? (Blue and teal). I love it so much! Can’t wait to customized but it drives me crazy to use a different font.
